Installing importer on IE6

In order to keep roster and standing information up-to-date, we'll need to install the benchcoach bookmarklet in your web browser so you are able to synchronize your remote league with benchcoach.

We're going to go through the steps of installing the benchcoach bookmarklet on internet explorer 6.

We'll start here on the import page. There is a link called "Importer" in the bottom links menu that gets you there from any page on the site. The left pane in blue describes how it works, and explains some of the privacy implications of using the bookmarklet. Please read that at your leisure; the important part is that nothing happens unless you yourself use the bookmarklet; we never contact anyone directly on your behalf.

The bookmarklet is contained in the right pane. For IE6, right-click on the "Benchcoach Sync" link in the white box. A menu will popup, select "Add to favorites". The bookmarklet contains javascript code which will send information about your team to our site, and a security alert will pop-up asking you to confirm that you want to add this. Click "yes" if you want to use the bookmarklet.

Next we need to tell it in which folder to install the bookmarklet. We want to make this is available on the toolbar, so click on "Create in" to open up a folder list, and select the "Links" folder. Click OK.

Now lets give the links folder a bit more real estate on the toolbar. Right-click on links, and unlock the toolbar by un-checking "Lock the toolbar." Now, take the grip just to the left of "links" and drag up and to the left to reveal the sparkling new benchcoach sync bookmarklet!
