Let's start by looking at the standings pane. There are two rows of numbers: the top row contains the overall results for your team or the lineup selected below, and the bottom row shows you what the diffs are from moving players around. Current standings and current points represent the actual standings resulting from the games your league has already played. This data can be entered in manually by using the "edit standings" link but of course it is much easier to go to the remote page and use the bookmarklet to have the computer enter in the data for you.
The predicted standings and predicted points show what we expect your team to do the rest of the season based upon the players in your lineup, how many games they have left to play, and what stats we are using. To change the type of stat, use the drop-down on the upper right. We can base the performance numbers on the 3 year average, last years average, current year on pace for, weekly and monthly trends, and amazingly even your own personal player projections. More on this later, but you can see that once we change the stat type the predicted standings and points adjust.
The bottom row of statistics shows you differences between the synched roster score and what changes you make to your lineup. As we bench players and move players from the bench, you can see what the net effect is predicted to be. The number is a difference in the predicted performance of the team; evaluating any changed roster movements won't change the score for games already played. So while the lineup pane below shows overall season statistics, only future gains and losses are represented in the diff.
